Engagement session at SIGS Photography studio, Toronto wedding photography

Engagement sessions

A relaxed shoot — before the wedding.

We include a complimentary engagement photo shoot — a $700 value — with every SIGS wedding package because we believe it makes the wedding photography better.

How it works

It is really just a walk in the park.

We meet at an established engagement location, go for a walk, talk, laugh and make photographs along the way. We give you simple direction when you need it so the camera feels familiar long before the wedding day.

Planning your wedding

Meet with SIGS before the wedding.

Your engagement session is part of the wedding experience

We include a complimentary engagement photo shoot — a $700 value — with every SIGS wedding package because we believe it makes the wedding photography better.

Engagement portraits double as save-the-date material and as wall art at the reception. The most popular product is the three-image triptych in Italian moulding mounted on acid-free gallery mattes.

Why SIGS includes the engagement session

There are three reasons we want every couple to do one. You get to know us before the wedding. We get to know how the two of you interact and what feels natural. And you become more comfortable in front of the camera so the wedding day is not your first time working with us.

Most couples are not professional models — and they do not need to be. We show you how to stand, move, interact and relax so that by the wedding day, being photographed already feels familiar.

What the session actually feels like

It is really just a walk in the park. We meet at an established engagement location, go for a walk, talk, laugh and make photographs along the way. There is no pressure to perform for the camera. We give you simple direction when you need it while keeping the session relaxed and natural.

Dress code

Two outfits work well: one dressy and one casual. Avoid bold logos and loud patterns. Coordinate colours rather than matching outfits exactly.
